How hard is it to change the derby cover? Is it something that can be DIY, or should it be left to the pros?

Really very easy. Just make sure the bike is upright or leaning more to the right. Get someone to sit on it and hold it steady whilst you remove the stock cover and add your new one.
This way, you will not drip any oil on the floor.

That's what I did anyway!

Nice cover BTW HDG, looks way better than stock. Damn, those marketing guys, make the bike 99% perfect then stick a shiny Derby cover on knowing you can't resist but buy another.
