I have been using my LRS for the last couple of years. Cuts the wind pretty well and doesn't look too bad either IMO. I do prefer the look of the bike without it but keep it on most of the time.
Not on a dyna!!! I used to ride my fat boy without a ws with 16 inch apes. That was bad! But the drags on my bob have made a huge difference. I'm with others, long trips get a full face.
We Ride to be in the Wind, the feeling of Freedom. If ya need a windshield, take the cage. I rode a friend's Low Rider with a windshield for a day ... HATED IT! I've been riding for 49 Windshield-free years ... and LOVING IT!
I used to always say I would never put a windshield on any bike I had...until I bought one for my last bike about 4 years ago. Once I rode with it on, I rarely took it off. When I bought my current bike (FXDC) I bought the Super Sport QD windshield for it & rarely ride without it now. I do take it off in the summer sometimes, but I just prefer it on for protection from the bugs in the summer & wind the rest of the year. Bike looks much better without it, but the benefits of having it on outweigh the looks for me.
I don't know about the super sport windshield, I just got a compact windshield today for my FXDC, my first ever windshield, thought i'd try one for going down the highway. well it looks like i'm staying off the highway and the windshield is going to collect dust in the garage, it sucks. Can you say buyers remorse? I can.The buffeting is horrible.
