RE: front stock exhaust bracket?
Ah, the three dreaded little torx there. Common problem on the '99-up Dyna's. They have a nasty habit of the head breaking off. If you ride a Dyna...check yours
Remove the exhaust so you see what is going on. Possibly the footpeg/brake pedal...depending on model.
The clutch cable is right in the way...so it probably needs ziptied out of the way or removed.
Unbolt the engine from the front motor mount.
Use a large heavy duty clamp and use it to clamp the engine to the frame. One end of the clamp should go on the left side of the frame and the other end should be on the left side of the motor mount. This will allow access to the bolts there and a straightshot to them. You will clear the right side portion of the frame and the midsection of the frame. The back on is still difficult to get to...but this method works.
Do not reuse those torx bolts. I don't even recommend using replacement torx either. I highly suggest replacing them with at least grade 5 with lockwasher. This is aluminum here so be easy on them...so do not overtighten.

I would pass on the grinding. There just really is not enough room for a grinder there. You maybe able to use a small dremel tool and grind it off. The bracket will come off, but you still have the remaining shaft of the torx hanging out...which is not really a big deal. It is easier to remove the entire torx rather than just part of it.
It really is not that difficult to shift the engine to the right. I have done this several times on different Dyna's with the Twin Cam. My FXDS-Conv. was one of them.
