Ilike the wide rear tire look. Went through 3 SE 180 tires. Got between 6000 and 7000 miles out of them. They just keep getting higher and higher. Best I found wes $260 plus shipping and $35 for tube. I went with Avon Cobra 190-60-17 on rear this time. May not get any more milage but tire, tube and band strip was $190 shipped to my door.

Awesome info here.
I'm going with the Michelin Pilot 3's next as well. Seems to be a great blend of grip and durability. I hope they are. I only got about 5k out of my nightdragons, and they weren't even that grippy...

I have 12k on my MCII's in one season. I'm hoping to get another 3k or so on the back one and more on the front. I have a stage two and ride aggressively. The MCII's have lasted alot longer than the scorchers. Alot of factors on tire life. Riding style, HP, roads, air pressure, alignment, solo or two up etc.

Got 7200 miles out of my stock rear Dunlop and am at 11,000 on the front and it still has plenty of tread.

Default Avon cobras

Hello arkstreetbob,

So how have the Avon cobras held up on your bike? Im running the Dunlop 180/60-17 (Screaming Eagle) on my bike and like you said, the life is crap. Is the Avon as wide or wider than the Dunlop? Please give your advice, if + Ill order them.

Thanks,
Mike

I went 8500 with my original "Scorcher 31" on the back of my Super Glide. There was NO center tread left on it when I replaced it with a Commander II. I am at 4000 miles with no real signs of wear at all on the Commander II. Front tire still looks great.
