Default Anyone running a 17 in front laced wheel

I have acquired 17 inch laced front wheel off a touring bike. Have been thinking about lacing the rim to my hub on my street bob. Was wondering if anybody has done this.

How did this turn out for you?
I am about to put a 17"x3" rim on a modified wide glide hub and run it with a 130/80 tire on my FXD.

Lacing and truing takes patience. Take some measurements before you take to cutting the spokes out of your existing wheel. Might want to have someone build your wheel using stainless steel spokes, like Landmark Mfg. Heck, have them make you a set, like they did for me on my FLHRI & FXD. I used the "diamond" pattern. They really flash in the sun...

Buchanon Spoke will do it also, but they've had QC issues as of late. Just FYI

I might have to buy a set of spokes for the rear rim since it is a bit different then the stock one. The front rim can use the spokes that came with it since the hub I'm using is quite similar the the one that it came off of.
I like the idea of stainless steel spokes, would Landmark be cheaper?
