There's a 2012 loaded switchback on craigs list right now.
A little pricey but tons of extras:

If you ride like I do you will be happier with a dyna. My wife occasionally likes to go for a ride on a nice day but mostly it is just me. We add up to about 430. I'm happy with the stock suspension. You are right about having more choices with Harley when buying accessories. The hard part is making up your mind just like when choosing the bike.

Ok I know you don't want to buy now but this is too good of a deal not to check out:

When I've got my 15 year old kid on the back the combined load is over 400 lb and my Fat Bob handles it no problem.
I would recommend upgrading the rear shocks and a True Track. I use bagger air shocks and they work great. The True Track really helps in making the bike feel more solid going through turns.

euphoric28. I have a 2008 FXDC and totally enjoy the ride and looks of this cruiser. The stock seat was uncomfortable for my 6'1"/over 220 lb. frame. So I upgraded the seat for better comfort (for my back, also) and for my Wife when she's with me (she's got a Sporty so...). And even before I bought the seat my Parts Rep. put it on a Dyna in the showroom to see if it fitted what I needed! Since like you said you going to buy in the future when your H.D. dealer has test drives that would be the best time to feel out the FXDC and Switchback.
