What would happen to my bike if i just put on V&H short shots on a stock 2013 fat bob? I have no other upgrades performance wise but wondering if it will hurt my bike or not?

 

If you do just exhaust then you should be fine,it's when you open up the air box and exhaust is when you'll need to do something,ie tuner.

 

Nothing will happen unless you do an air cleaner too. Then you'll need a remap.

 

Short shots are pretty open, you will probably have some decel pop.

 

Loud as hell. Just do the whole stage one. You'll enjoy it.

 

You'll have a lot of decel popping. I ran just short shots for a while with no baffles and it was loud and popped all the time.

Yes, a good tune will get rid of the popping. My doesn't pop at all. I do have the quiet baffles, though the are not quiet at all, just lower in tone.

 

Sometimes even mapping and a tune will not completely eliminate decel pop. Keep in mind, it does not hurt your scooter, some folks actually like it. And it is kind of subjective, some people might have decel pop and not realize it. Depends on your riding style to a certain extent. You probably have some decel pop with a stock scooter, you just don't notice it.
