Default Fork Brace?

Anyone out there currently have a fork brace on their scoot? I was wondering if there is a noticable differance in ride quality/handleing especially at highway speed. Thanks for your input. Stay safe.

My wife had a fork brace on her 1997 Lowrider, and it seemed to make handling better. It had a more solid feel in the frontend with the brace on.

Regards,

Bill

I may add add a fork brace and a steering dampner. I added a windshield to my 05 FXDI and I find that the front end will shake a little at speeds above 70mph when getting passed or passing an 18 wheeler.

I also notice that also at highway speed. Hopefully the fork brace will help. Now I know that this is going to sound like a newbie question, (but I am) what is a steering dampener and where does it install?

Steering dampener is similar to the little shock absorber thing on a car's hatch back. It attaches between one of the fork legs and the frame. Doesn't interfere with normal easy turning, but the hydraulic action helps prevent overly fast movement.
