Outlaw style Bob questions from overseas
Hey Everyone,
I'm currently deployed and am putting together my parts list for my 06 SB. I've narrowed it down to WC 12'' mx T bars and a rifle roadster fairing, and of course suspension upgrades and new paint. Not to sound stupid but cuz my bike is not in front of me and I want to order new parts now; because my bike is an 06, I shouldn't have the integrated risers?, therefore do I just order the normal mx t bars as opposed to the sbob ones? As well for the rear shocks I would like to add some height, just wondering what u guys are using, 13inch ect?
Appreciate any help so when I get home I can start my project. thanks

I prefer "California Style" since the other names just bring out the trolls from the touring and H.O.G. forums, and the modifications that come with it are more functional than all those skully chrome bits you see in the dealer parking lot on Saturday.
As far as shocks go, I'm running 320mm Hagon 2810s, which are 12.6" and give me plenty of clearance without putting me up so high that I can't plant both feet firmly on the ground when stopped. The only thing I scrape are my foot pegs, which are DK Customs' Primos and are like mini-footboards.
In addition to the shock length, the weight of the springs and your riding weight will affect the sag.
Stay safe on deployment and post up some pics when you get back.

just go to the outlaw style dyna thread start at like page 200 look at pics read about the mods, alot of bikes on there have lots of work done to them. all using different bars, shocks, fairings, wheels etc. i know my bike, vdops, squidhead, and a few others have really good descriptions and reviews of what we have done.

I will check out that thread, been reading lots lately. I'm choosing the rifle because of the different shield options.
Squidhead, That is exactly why I'm looking at the Cali style, where I'm from roads suck, its windy as hell and I like to ride hard, the TH just motivates me to give er I guess!!
