Don't car what anyone says. Sportsters aren't girls bikes. I see girl on everything out there. I've never owned one but I wouldn't mind having one to beat around town on.

Don't agree that the Sportster is a girls bike in any way! Your just too big for it. Maybe you should be looking at a used Fat Bob or SuperGlide. A lot of deals out there. Good luck.

I agree with this 100%. If anyone is afraid to ride the bike they want because they might not get the proper respect, they shouldn't be riding at all. That's the wrong reason to trade up. Respect is earned, not bought.

Enjoy your new Street Bob...they're great bikes!

I will enjoy my sbob for sure..but as for the girls bike..it was more tended to be the sarcastic joke most mention that has stuck to the sportster..i think its more the "girly self concious" riders that take it so seriously and get so defensive..its obviously not a girls bike..the 5 women i know that own hds 2 of them own sportys and the others softails..so it really dont matter it just stuck over the years..as for being afraid to ride my sporty yes indeed i was!! for getting made fun of? nope dont give a sh*t what the beefy boys would think more so running out of fuel everytime id ride it..and im a big dude on it already and to add my ol lady on the back..meh too cramped..upgrade sooner than later..soo guess i should just put this thread to rest since its being delivered tomorow..but if i was rich like that 4x4 guy yeah id keep my forty eight for solo riding bobbin through town..but for my only hd i own i need it bigger and roomier for my ol lady on the back too..
