I want say first and foremost tell the people that are saying the sportster is a girls bike to f@&$ off. I have had four Harley's and two of them were sportsers and you know what? You have your knees in the breeze. So don't let them get you down. I had a Buell with a 1200 sportster engine and it came stock with 103 hp., even the big bike don't have that. As far as the dyna goes you just have to ride one and decide what you want and can afford and if it's a deal you cal live with.

I don't think HD makes a more customizable bike than the Sportster when it comes to aftermarket parts. With a few upgrades and ALOT less money you can get as comfortable a ride on your Sporty and have greater overall performance over a Dyna. Every year I want to buy a new Touring HD but with only a couple weeks vacation a year it would never fulfill its role as a tourer. I don't know how HD gets away with selling a SG for the cost of a car. I'll find me a used SG garage queen for 10k cash take it or leave it at some point, somewhere. Going to be a buyers market when the snow hits the pavement real soon.

hundred percent worth it
bigger motor
one more gear
fits me better
dyna is just a sportster on steroids
you want it just do it, why keep paying every month for a bike your so so on? thats how i think of it, get what you want now and stop throwing payments on the 48

+1 on this statement. Do it and you'll never regret it...besides, if you are unhappy or semi-unhappy with the 48...it will only continue...

My mom rides a Softail Fat Boy. I will never get a Fat Boy now, it's a total girl bike.
(see what I did there)
If you like the Dyna's, go for it. I sold my Sporty for my Street Bob. Main reason was a bigger bike for the wife to sit on the back of and something with more power. I loved my Sporty, but it didn't have to power I was looking for.
