Default I love my street Bob

Sounds weird, but it puts a big grin on my dial. I was riding a 2006 Triumph T100 Bonneville and had a whole bunch of problems with it. After the third oil leak in the first month of ownership I was ready for therapy. My prescription has been filled.

Nothing weird about that, I've had my bob for about 12 weeks and still get a silly grin on my face every time I fire it up.....

good to hear you're enjoying it so much......

I am going to paint mine matt black instead of the cherry black but I am not sure how to handle the fuel guage on the LHS of the tank. I need to take this off when I sandblast and pain to ensure a good finish. Do any of you guys know how to do that?

HKSB,

I'm going back and forth on the 2007 Bonny T100 vs the 2007 StreetBob/SuperGlide. The bikes I knoware different. I haven't heard of many issues w/ the T100's. I'm 6ft 4inches tall and 215lbs or so. What differences have you seen from quality of frame (except oil leaks) , riding dynamics, comfort etc... I've sat on all 3 and the StreetBob feels the best at least in the showroom. Thanks,

Larry R

The reason why I chose the Street Bob is because I wanted to get a bike that would be fine standard and not have to tinker with. Sure you can do more to the SB if you want. The quality of the parts, workmanship and heavy duty kick@ss engineering of HD makes a difference to me too.
If you buy a Triumph, you are saying you have spare time to tinker and will be prone to breakdowns and long delays for parts. Also the new Triumphs are not what they used to be when it comes to sound and finishing. Even the plastic parts are weaker and the metal is super soft.
One of the best tests is trying to get a set of cast wheels for a Bonnie vs HD. Bonnie is around US$2000 for a set that fits (plug n play) while you can get loads of HD matching wheels for a quarter that price. Not only that, but HD parts are listed!!!
If you want a 2007 T100, I have one for sale...
