Do it internally, heres how:

With the 14.5's I went with +6 cables. I would highly recommend running the bars internally. You still have to do all the other work, so do it right the first time. Running the wires inside the bars was one of the easiest parts of the install. The novello kit I bought was 382-103 for 12" extension. Good luck.

ok the kit came(wow that was fast--like 2 days..nice jp cycles!) and i notice it is part # 382-103. 12" extensions. im worried it might not be long enough. they need to hang out both ends of the new bars i assume? like i said im going from the stock mini apes to some 16"s and running them internal. should i send them back and opt for the 15" kit or no? i would like to have the option of putting some risers on later on down the road if i would like some more height. any opinions?
thanks

It should be plenty of wire ya got there. All you should be doing is extending the existing wires-not replacing it! If you are extending the existing wires, and you plan on routing the wires through your bars, ensure that you alternate where you cut and solder the extensions. Easy stuff...

but it seems to me there are ends on all the wires and it says no soldering needed. so are these kits really a replacement or just meant to be extensions?
