li9ke I said push the seat zone forward with a seat and get pull-back risers or even apes! I sat on a fatbob last summer that had 16" apes and surprisingly they relaxed my arms alot more than the 1.5" pull back risers I wound with.
I surely don't mean any harm, welcome to the forums.

Hogi, I bought a 12 Fat Bob in the spring this year and after fighting with the bike for over 3mo trying to get it comfortable and ride-able for me. I finally gave up and traded it in on a new 13 Switchback.....This new bike is the bomb I love riding it and its everything I wished the Fat Bob was.

Default Thx

thank you all for good info! you saved me so much time!

the seat is so nice - I dont want to chang it.
love HD 'Reduced Reach Forward Control Conversion Kit' but way more $$$ than i like to spent now.

if any one know about 'do it yourself' mod for the forward controls - let me know.

until solving the problem - i made this mod and it is doing the job!

Went with 6" "Zombie" bars from Rocket Bobs and 1" Joker risers.I can move the bars where I want em and still keep the drag bar look.

Here ya go.Cutting down on the reach did help make the forwards more comfortable though.

Hey..before you go looking at reduced reach forward controls...ensure that someone did not put on Extended reach forward controls....which are only an extra bracket with that 1.5" extra reach. Then all you would have to do is remove that bracket and change the brake/shifter linkage length. when I bought my wide glide..it had that extended reach kit and I could barely get my foot under the shifter peg.

Harley makes a reduced reach kit. Also some of their seats also much you closer by an inch or more. A nice combination of that should help.

I used these pullback risers from Harley and it made a big difference.
