2013 street bob? Ape hangers?
Every bike I have ever owned I have put at least 16" apes on but I've never had a problem with wiring till now.... From what I have heard ya can't just cut and solder the wires to make them longer on the new bikes because of the switches are like circuit boards and it will cause more resistance...... Does it really matter or do they make a kit to extend the wires?

The good news is that the 2013 models use a smaller connector that fit through the bars easily. The extension is worth the money (maybe $25?)

Youre right of course. I should have mentioned that. I had already bought the extension, so I used it. However, the harness did have a lot of slack.

I haven't put the bars on yet. I just picked up gear oil so I can swap out the clutch cables. I'm sure the stock wiring will be long enough for 16" apes though. I bought the khrome werks 16" narrow apes but I'm sure they are close to the same. Go out to your bike and pull on the stock wiring at the grommet on the frame, they slide in and out fairly easily.
