Thinking of a set of black vance and hines exhaust.
I have seen some pics of black pipes on bikes and some were dull, and almost like they had parts of the pipe turn almost white.

Any complaints on black pipes after miles of use?

That's just the thunderheader that will fade, turn white and break into pieces

 

Black ceramic no heat shields will lighten in color closer to the engine, but not anywhere near 'white'.

 

My V&H big shots are very faded and have spots of rust coming through.

35,000km on them

 

No troubles with mine

 

I don't know what 4k miles count for...but my V&H blacks look good as new.

 

my V&H Big Shots Staggered have been on my bike for 2 years and they look as good as they did when I bought them.
