Default Sissy Bar for Low Rider

When instaling the side plates for a sissy bar does the tail lights need to be relocated. I don't want to mess with the wiring and stuff.

If you are refering to 'detachable' sideplates then yes, the signal lmps need to be relocated. The tailight would not be affected.

I have an o6 Lowrider, and got the detachable sissy bar. The turn signal kit actually movesthe turn signals out a little farther, and a rubberbushing goes against the side plate to mount the detachable sissy. The lights may stick out about an inch moreaway from their location. The kit that moves the turn signals down with the tail light is only used if you are going to mount bags on your bike.

DFly,

Got a pic you can share. I've included an example of the plate mount/signal combo. Iprefer the look of the signal/plate combo, even thought I don't run bags. Your not limited to one kit or the other...

Keep the wires TIGHT to the fender or you will find out what a rub really is, and it's not good. Trust me. Tim

If you put the detachables, make sure that you get 2 flat washers (chrome) to be put between the fender part and the rubber mount. This will kept the siisy bar from rattling when you hit a bump. It worked for me.
