Default Dyna Fat Bob fork tube

The right fork seal on my 2011 Fat Bob failed at 6000 miles. Got that fixed after waiting 3 weeks for the tube that had been damaged due to the seal failure. 200 miles later same thing on the right fork. This time, after another 3 weeks, HD cannot even tell me when the replacement tube will be available -it's on "back order". Has anyone heard of any issues with the fork seals or the whole fork assembly for the Fat Bob? It's disturbing that HD doesn't have the parts available for this. Are there so many failures that HD can't keep up?

I had my left seal installed wrong at the factory. Replaced under warranty took about a week to get the part in.

You're supposed to ride AROUND those potholes. Most of the time that stuff was in stock, but it never took more than a day or two to get those parts when I needed them.

How can you tell if it was installed wrong? What are symptoms?
