btw, if you change to those bars, you will want to change the rubber riser bushings to the polyurethane ones. if you don't, your bars will feel like they are too loose and move around too much. i got some from drag specialties and they were about $11. well worth the money.

I think that the worst thing I had to do when changing the bars was dealing with the fuel tank to get to the wires. Other than that just take your time. It was a good learning experience

Doing the same with my 13 SB... good to know its not a huge PITA.

Removing the tank to get to the connectors... Do you completely remove it or just shuffle it back some? Is there any info on how to do this??

Done it plenty on my Ducs, this is my first Harley... all news to me

I put 16" apes on my 2012 WG, It was a pretty easy job just takes a little while if its your first time. Worst part its putting the wires through the bars. I went with the RSD King Apes which have 2 90' bends on each side what a pain that was. if you have any issues try wrapping the ends of the wires with electrical tape then tie a string on to the tape. Using a vacuum plug all the other holes and it should suck the string to you. then use some kind of lube on the tape and start trying to fish the clump of wires up your way.
Defiantly switch to the Poly bushings I still have the stock rubber ones and with 16" apes it feels very loose.

For running the wires internally go to home depot and get the ceiling fan pull chain. Worked great and push and pull at the same time so you don't chafe the wires. Slow is fast!!!

According to this site http://www.sideroadcycles.com/Import...ckBarsOne.html
2009 and up have 12" bars... hmm never knew that.
I'm almost positive I measured my 2011 @ 10 inches.

Yep, just measured again.... 10 inches.

I have to say anyone who can swap out bars and make em look clean in 2 hours is a helluva wrench...it's not a hard task from a difficulty standpoint just hard as heck and time consuming feeding wires...but I have 14" carlini bars with a severe bend

They look awesome! I have a 2012 WG and this is def. my next project. So those are 12" and were not that hard to install? Did you you stock riser and cables?

Thanks
