Default End of Superglide?

I was at my local HD dealership the other day talking with the parts guy ordering some parts. He told me that this is the last year they are making the Superglide since they have multiple models that are similar (fat bob and new Switchback). Has anyone else heard the same. If so I sure hope that finding parts is not going to be a pain. I recently got a 2013 Superglide custom. I am sure that many other parts will fit, just sucks that I finally got a new bike and it may be the last model, may be a good thing too. Thanks.

I could see them doing away with either the superglide or superglide custom, one or the other. Just seems redundant with the street bob.

As far as parts I don't think you'll have to worry, ever.

That's good to know. I am still pretty new to the Harley world and am loving it. Have ridden crotch rockets for the last 10 years and finally started with a Sportster a while ago and moved up to my SG custom and love it. It's pretty much all done with parts except a few minor things here and there. May someday move up to a street glide but I LOVE my bike.

Doubt they go anywhere. It's on the model line-up for 2014, and I half-expect to see it get the HD1 treatment with a 103' option this coming year. Believe it or not, there are people that aren't keen in the Street Bob styling but still want an FX dyna.

I like the looks of the Dyna Superglide Custom.

Me too -- in fact, I bought one.

It made sense to drop the FXDL, because it was so close to the FXDC, but the Fat Bob is very different and appeals to a different market segment.

Would be surprised if they discontinued it without something in its place. They certainly don't have a problem selling them. I loved my Road King Custom but when I wasn't going on any long rides over the interstate it was time to change to a Dyna. Rode them all and loved them all. But the Super Glide grabbed me.

The Super Glide (FXD) was dropped from the line after the 2010 model year. The Super Glide Custom (FXDC) is still offered.

Six models are falling out, but the Superglide isn't one of them.

Maybe it's just the 96inch engine they should get rid of.
