I can't see the chopping block for the Superglide. One of the best step ups from the Sportster line. Hoping it will just be an engine upgrade to the 103. The whole Dyna line needs a bigger motor. It is the sportiest of the HD line-up. I bought my 2006 Street Bob but it was a close call between it and a Superglide.

 

I love my SuperGlide, and I'm sure it will be around for a long time.

I really don't think they will get rid of it. There's a lot of people that love them still and lots of after market parts are being made for it.

 

I know a few years ago, they dropped the Super Glide Sport, but the Super Glides are to popular to be discontinued.

 

I agree with the fellows that want a engine upgrade. I did that a few months back and went to the 103. With the 204 SE cams upgrade in there too its really alive now.

 

I have been considering trading my 2012 FXDC in on the Super Glide's replacement, the Low Rider. ABS is the carrot. The dealer tells me that the Super Glide is gone, replaced by the 103-powered Low Rider.

 

Yea, well, the Low Rider was GONE after 2009......It's back now, and I predict the Super Glide will be back, too............bigger and better, as they say.

 

I think that Harley does this in cycles (no pun intended) with all models. You'll see one fall off and replaced by another for a few years and this time around was the Super's turn... it's probably getting a whole new design from the ground up in the top secret lab they have in the lowest basements in Milwaukee... The Low Rider is so close in looks, its almost like the Super is still there... but look for it to come back in a couple years and something else will fall off the offering plate... They probably do this to help keep resale values up on each of the different models...
