My understand is all the twin cam cranks are not real strong until you weld them.

Strong enough to take 110HP no problem IF setup right and that means getting rid of the bearing eating auto primary adjuster.

The weak link in the equation is the primary and the 6 speed with these bikes.

I'm at the point where I'm trying to decide between the 30/70 upgrade or cams...how much would I be looking at for the pulley upgrade on a '13 FB?

If you have to buy all the tools for the 30T swap, plan on about $350 - $400. The 70T depends mostly on the pulley cost alone, if you have to buy a new one - should be ~ $170 plus a few extra bucks for new pulley bolts. Obviously you need torque wrenches, etc....

Not sure how much HD or an Indy would charge, probably not a ton more because they already have all the tools.

Christ, cams might actually be cheaper. I know about the stubborn front pulley nut and I have an electric impact wrench. I assumed I would just need to buy the huge socket for the nut. What other special tools do you need for the front?
