30/70 pulley combo
#111
i ran the 30/70 combo for years on my 06superglide, felt great with the cams i had (andrews 37), i rode the dog **** out of that thing mostly all between 3000-3500 cruisin rpms. i could still blast into triple digits in 5th gear. the higher rpms wont kill ya, that bike had 83,000 miles when i traded it in for my 2014 low rider

Having seen Powder Pro's work, I highly recommend him so you don't have the same problem.

Whoever you use, make sure they don't sandblast the teeth. My ebay pulley which was already powdered when I got it is starting to delaminate and the teeth are pitting and getting sharp. I'm gonna have to pull it and put a stock pulley back on until I can find another good 70T.

Years later... I finally did this mod.
So far, I like it, but have mixed views.
Definitely need to calibrate the speedo, and getting used to the new RPMs at freeway speed, seems like my style of riding has me cookin around 3500rpms or so. Lots of power but, I'm so used to grabbing another gear, only to find I'm already in 6th lol
Maybe a Baker 7 speed is in my future.
A note too... I took the risk and bought a 70t off an old softail, 08 I believe. Seems to fit fine, and spaced fine, clears the belt guard and all. Ebay special $80 bucks.
Only have maybe 50 miles on the setup so far, so if anything changes, or I find the pulley has some unknown issue. I'll update.
