my friend just bought a 06 street bob, and he loves the look of the heavy breather cone. i told him i'd search around for a good price but even on harley's website they don't show an application for the 06. do they have a different intake size or something? is there no such thing for an 06? i'm stumped.

 

Not sure why you can not find the answer on screaming eagle model but yes it will work just fine. i have the stage 1 air cleaner on mine and my freind has the heavy breather on his both Harley both 2006 model's Check some the aftermarket kits such as http://www.jpcycles.com/product/308-485 you8 see the fit.

 

I have an 06 and the heavy breather works just fine. Your friend may just have to bite the bullet and part with the cash...I seen some other brands that are kinda copies of the heavy breather but they are just as expensive. Maybe in the classifieds.

i don't know...on harley's website it says the heavy breather is for 08 and up. i didn't know if it was a different size intake or what....i thought they were all the same, but when it wasn't on harley's website i started to second guess myself.

 

Have you tried going to the dealership itself? I looked on Harley's website and I can only find the cone filter by itself.

 

Check e-bay. I got one for my ole Sportster there and got the latest one for my dyna at HD. Not much difference in the cost.
