Default Different headlight on Fat Bob?

Hey,

I am in the process of buying a 2009 Fat Bob. I love the look of the bike, but I think I would like it more with a different headlight. Was wondering what headlight conversions people have done and how much it roughly costs?

Is it a simple mod I can do easily at home?

You could run a 7" headlight like what he said above, or the normal dyna 5 3/4 headlight. There are also a couple in HD's catalog under the lighting section that are worth a look.

How easy is the swap? I'm guessing you have
to remove the gas tank to get at the wiring harness?

Wow, I'm surprised at this. Those dual front lamps make the Fat Bob a Fat Bob IMHO. Just a thought but can I get you to consider trying the dual headlamps for a while before you swap them out?

Good luck with you new bike!

I put on a 7". You do not have to remove the tank. The wires are underneath in the backbone. It was easy and used a different mounting bracket.

Unless HD comes out with the LED Daylights for my fatbob, I may be inclined to change mine out to a single headlight as well.

Go with the fatboy headlight, you'll seriously be missing the lighting power of fatbob duals. I was thinling about changing it out for a fstboy or wide glide light, but I lve been won over by its sheer lighting ability in really dark situations.
