87 to 91...whatever I feel like. If all gas (no corn) is available I use that. Really doesn't matter, the bike will run on anything available at a pump unless you have heavily modded it with increased compression, cams, etc.
93 octane and when I can find it 93 with no corn! More power and better fuel mileage. I've heard all to comments on this.....corn goes on the grille, not in your tank!
+1 on the no corn. I used to run 93, they got rid of it in my area, then 92 until they got rid of that. Now I have to pay attention at the pump, All shells in my area 91 is E10. No good. I now run 91 (no corn) when I can find it. Sometimes on trips I have to use 87.
94 if I can get it. The higher octane the better. If you're on a long haul you can notice the difference in the way it runs and your mileage might be better.
