430 Progressive shocks
Wife is not happy with the rear shocks on her FXDL; stockers never were great on any HD (except the FXDX/T's, of course). Anyone here have the 430 Progressives? I thinking a pair of their 12.5 chrome shocks would still look good and should be a significant improvement...looks are important,too..comments?

Not the 430's but the 440's. They are very similliar. I have loved mine. One cool thing about progressive is, if you call em up they will direct you to the best shock based on weight and riding style. All their shocks are adjustable so you can fine tune it from there too. I've had mine about 18,000 miles and still enjoy them.

I have 11" 430's on my 2013 SB. Stock is 12". Because it has snowed or rained just about every day since getting the bike, I only have 150 miles on it.
I am 6'4", 230lb and have them adjusted in the middle. I put them on with zero miles and my other ride is a hardtail chopper, so I have nothing to compare them with.
Given the above, I think they are just great. I have not bottomed out yet.

I spoke with progressive early this week and was told the 430 are not being discontinued.

I was talking to a guy at progressive about a month ago about my options to replace my 412's
He told me it may be hard to find a set of 430's and the 444 was replacing them.
I guess I was getting played!
I do like the 444's, only paid $35 more than the 430's I originally ordered. So I am not really that PI$$ED!

I have a set in 11" Progressive 430's on my 2011 wide glide. I weigh 175 lbs and I have never bottomed out. I also hade the Harley under the fender LED tail light. The ride has always been harder than I am use to. Now that I have changed out the shocks at low speed you feel every crack in the road, it rides hard but as you pick up speed it evens out. I think with the lower stance the bike handles better than stock. Believe it or not my 2003 Heritage Springer corners better than my Wide Glide....
