Did you end up having to relocate your headlight? I bought a rep fairing a while ago and it day like 3 inches in front of the headlight. And you used the brackets that came on the fairing? Was it listed for 49mm?

I did have to raise my headlight
I used a piece of all-thread to lift it up
My headlight is flush with the fairing, it took a bit of adjusting to get it just right. 🙄

The Rep Fairing I bought was listed for Dyna's
bit it was not for 49mm forks

Just a heads up, today I installed the replica quarter fairing and the genuine Harley 49mm quick release clamps, they bolted up and aligned excellent.

The replica fairings sold on eBay already have a bung-king style mount (it looks identical).

My total preject cost was:
eBay replica fairing $115 (includes bung-king style mount)
HD 49mm quick clamps $120 online
Nylon spacer $1.50
Total cost: $236.50

Vs the genuine HD quarter fairing $319 online
Bung King adapter $99
HD 49mm quick clamps $120
Total cost: $538

I just had one of these repop fairings delivered yesterday, and will report back with photos once it's installed later tonight.

Looks like the stock '16 FXDLS seat.

So after much debate I pulled the trigger on the ebay repop quarter fairing and got it properly installed today after a trip to the hardware store during lunch.

The bike is a '04 FXD with 39mm narrow glide front end. The fairing is mounted using the HD Quick Detach hardware on the brackets supplied with new 5/16"x24 1/2" bolts. I did had to lift the headlamp 1", but if my bike had the stock eyebrow mount it would have bolted right up.

Overall I'm stoked with how it came out, and definitely happy with the price that I paid. All in for the fairing and planned laminar lip I'll be under $200 since I already had the QD windshield hardware. Be warned, the windshield and headlamp cover hardware becomes loose, and I've already lost two #10-32 nuts in two rides. I'll be upgrading to nylon locknuts to keep that from happening in the future, and backpainting the windshield while I have it off.

Default Clear or smoked?

im interested in buying the replica HD fairing on EBay. Opinions on clear or smoked? Is the headlight visable and does it still give out enough light to drive at night with a smoked lense?
