Thinking Of Moving Up to a Street Bob From a Sporty! Advice Please
Is there a very noticeable difference in the heavier weight of the Dyna vs the Sporty?
Does a lower seat height help compensate for a heavier bike?
I will definitely test ride one in various environments(parking lot, freeway etc) before ever buying, just looking for some info. All I have ridden any amount of significant time is a Sporty so the jump has to be noticeable to a Dyna and I know it will take getting used to.

I am not so much the "better than sporty", but they are quite different. I had a sporty for six years and a street bob for five years.
I don't feel the weight difference was that noticeable except when backing up, etc. What I found to be the biggest differences are one, the seat height. The feeling of sitting on a sportster and in a street bob. Obviously my choice of seats was part of that, too!
The bars are also a big difference.

Q1. Yes, sort of. It's not the weight so much as its heftier for lack of a better word. Wider, a bit longer and the weight difference is a bit noticeable in the suspension.
Q2. Yes. You'll feel more "in the bike"
You will adapt quickly. In my opinion, these are the differences that will jump out at you.
Braking and suspension reaction to weight.
Torquier motor builds speed differently that a sporty. Hard to describe, just don't believe your brain when you initially feel it slower than the sporty.
You'll like the smoothness of the suspension compared to the sporty. (then you'll upgrade it after you've had it for a few months!)
My bet is that you'll get it once you ride it,
