Both covers are exactly the same. I haven't see a round cover like this without a notch, I believe it is for both airflow and to fit those stupid back plastic plates HD uses.

This is one of the reason I went with the BS2, the filter is smaller on the back plate side and gets larger as it is goes out, just squeezes into the cover.

The one I linked in the first post definitely has a cutaway on one side.

The cover on my '09 Bones IS solid all the way: no cut outs.

EDIT: the stock one has no cutouts: not the one shown in sig pic

this is a crossbones cover modified , if i recall it is too deep for the SE round backing plate and some needed to be trimemd off, however, i not only trimmed some off the back but also notched it to give it a open look as well ...then had it PC and ordered the SE center piece [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

OK, so I received my DK Customs bobber cover a while ago and finally installed it last night. Turns out the top edge connects with the SE backplate causing a space at the center bolt mount.

What's the recommendation here...1 or 2 washers between the filter and cover as a spacer, or a deeper filter cone? Stupid question, but please humor me...
