This is just one of those parts i keep looking at and for some reason can't commit to buy. Has anyone on here ever had one and if so was it a good or bad experiance my fears are that 1. It won't be able to be left on during the rare washings my Bob gets 2. that the weather / wind will cause it to curl up and look like A$$. Any feedback would be appreciated thanks

Yes, I had one put on when I bought it.
I thought I had a dust build up along the top edge went to wipe it off and found out there was a dull streak right under the edge, for some reason there is bare leather along the edge. I was able to polish it out for the most part.

 

I have one I'll sell you for $20 including shipping. It is for a softail. I bought it from a member and have never used it...No packaging available for it...shameless plug, I know...

When I bought my bike it had 1 and when I removed it , It had rubbed the tank pretty bad [:@]
