Default 30T pulley with original drive belt

I have done a 30T pulley a while ago, it was done by the dealer while I had my short block replacement warranty. The other day I was washing my bike, found the rear belt adjustment is almost maxed out up to 3/4. Does anyone install a 30T pulley using stock belt? Should I consider a shorter belt? Since I have a contrast cut pulley, don't wanna get a 70T rear pulley. I am good for now but a little curious. Thanks! Alex

I haven't done the 30T pulley but from all the threads I've read here, most are using their stock belt. As long as it's in spec I wouldn't worry about it. Put 100K on it then you can think about a shorter belt. Just keep an eye on it and make sure it is staying tight.

Yeah a larger rear pulley will compensate the slack for sure.

I've been running the 30T with the stock pulley and belt for about 10,000 mile with no problems at all.

+1. I'm also running the contrast cut rear pulley. I don't think you've got anything to worry about.
