My 06 Dyna does everything well. It is fast enough, it handles well, especially for a machine that weighs 640 dry. The suspension could be better as well as the brakes, a 17" front wheel would be a plus also. But I can grind the pegs through the twisties, and cruise 90 down the interstate. Even at almost 56 years old I have no use for fairings, forward controls, bags, and such. I don't wheelie it or do burn outs, but I do bounce it off the rev limiter through the hills. Very little maintenance beside oil changes, tires and brake pads.

With my mods it's true love, the best of everything.
I raced Pro for 16 years and my sponsors put me on every kind of bike.
Strip a Dyna down and add mods, you have the best warrior pony ever.

I loved my 06 Wideglide until I found out about all the issues its apparently going to have and leave me stranded somewhere 100's of miles from home unless I shell out around $1200.00 to get everything taken care of. Bike has 6200 miles on it. I only put 200 miles on it this year because my wife won't leave town on the back of it in fear of it breaking down and leaving us stranded somewhere. According to EVERYBODY but the service managers at the 2 large HD dealerships in my area (including the one I bought the bike from) its pretty much gauranteed to happen.. and happen soon. It sucks. If I had known I would have bought the 07.

I ordered wheels and rotors from the MoCo. All this for a Dyna I bought new in '07 and has over 45,000 miles on it. My friends think I'm nuts having spent CVO money on a FXD. I've enjoyed nearly every dime I've spent on it.

Wasted 5 years of payments and horrible handling on a softail fatboy. Last october I had enough of the lameness of the softails and traded it for my beloved dyna fatbob.

Even though I had to restart my loan and reinvest in my stage one... hands down best decision. The dyna is 1000000x the better bike than the softail. I'm just mad I wasted my time with a softail... this fatbob ain't going anywhere!

I traded in my softail heritage for a dyna street bob. I only ride one up so its perfect for me. Went 4000 miles on a trip last year with it so, so much for dynas not being touring bikes.

I bought a 09 street bob last week and its my first harley but so far I live it its just about as as comfy as my 05 vulcan 1500 was and a lot faster and more nimble so I think I will love it more when I get my slip ons this coming week
