I've ridden, not owned, but ridden almost every model Harley makes at one time or another. They all have their good and bad qualities, but Dynas are the bikes for me. My buddy has a Road Glide that he's let me use a few times. It is marginally better on long out of state trips, but that's mostly only because it has more storage space. His has a trunk on it, like an Ultra. However, his bike isn't nearly as much fun around town as my Dyna. Touring bikes are heavy, and a lot to wrestle around sometimes. My Dyna is light, nimble, and thanks to the big bore kit, fast. If I get rid of it, it will be for another Dyna most likely.

Oh, one thing I should add. I'd love to have a V-Rod to ride around on for a few days. I think that might be the only other model I'd consider moving to. However, it would have to be the older style. I don't like the looks of the Muscle or the 2012 up V-Rods.

Also, I hate it when someone says they've "upgraded" to a touring model, as if it were an improvement of some sort. Bigger numbers don't make it a better option! (it all depends on what you're looking for I guess)
I agree with you, I have a Dyna Superglide and a SERK5, I rode the RoadKing in the morning and the Dyna in the afternoon, in many ways I enjoy my Dyna more that the king........

Started out on a sporty, rode it for 3 years, traded for a EG, Rode it for 2 weeks(got hit and totaled), Then found current ride 05 FXDI. I love it, totally happy with it. No upgrades, nothing fancy, not much chrome. In my opinion, The ride is as good as the EG. It gets me from point a to b if its 10 miles or 1000 miles.

Oh, I do have one upgrade, I added a Cig. lighter, now I don't have to stop as often.

And people always say they love the current bike the most until they own a different one.

Enough that I kept it when I got the Street Glide, but if I could only keep one the Dyna would not make the cut.

enough that I park it on carpet in the garage.
enough that I put a large window fan blowing on the v-twin after I get home from riding.
enough that I park it on the 5th floor of the parking garage at work just so I can hear it on the way down to the exit! (+ setting off car alarms)
