How many are active or vets.

RE: How many are active or vets.
US Navy Aug. 10, 1987 - Nov. 3, 1999. 12 years, 2 months, 24 days. Surface Sonar Technician. USS Fife (DD991) Yokosuka, Japan Mar. 1990 -Apr. 1992. USS George Philip (FFG12) Long Beach/San Diego June 1992 - June 1994. Balance of the remaining 10 years spent being a student and finally being an instructor at FLEASWTRACEN San Diego. Should have retired this Aug. 10th with 20 years, but a bad back ruined that and turned me back into a civilian.
OOPS!! I forgot something. While onboard USS Fife (DD991) I spent 5 months of a 6.5 month deployment in the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. USS Fife had the distinction of firing more Tomahawks than any other single unit during that conflict. We carried 61 and fired 60. The tally of unit Tomahawk launches was reported in Navy Proceedings and we were right there on the top of the list. After the murdering Islam freaks killed all those people in the World Trade Towers there was one thing that made me feel a little bit better about the way crap goes down in this world. IslamoFascist scum killed almost 3,000 people that day. I had the priviledge of being on that ship during the first Persian Gulf War and I know for a fact that we killed multitudes more of those freaks than they did of our good people. Plus we hammered the **** out of their infrastructure. Electrical Power Houses and other Power Generation Stations were destroyed. Many high level command structures were leveled. Every time I remember the fact that we hit them as hard as we did from just my ship (not to mention all the rest) I take a few moments to say "Allah Akhbar" 3 times and smile. Serves them murdering scumbags just perfectly.
