Default Super Glide Custom vs. Wide Glide

I was in the process of buying a Super Glide Custom when the Wide Glide keep catching my eye.
I have heard the wide glide tends to scrap around corner and my not be suited to my height 6'
Any thoughts on the 2 bikes
Thanks Brian

Mate I can't help with the SG but the Wg I can. I bought a new wide glide 5 weeks ago after owning a Suzuki m90 for 4 years. I test rode a vrod muscle, fat boy then the WG,took the demo back to the dealership and ordered one on the spot. We have some great twisty roads where I live and the WG eats them up easy,I to am 6' and weigh about 220. Can't say I have dragged the pegs yet but one thing I have done is out run 2 fatboys and a rocker in the twisties!

I'm 6'02" and I fit well on my wide glide. Haven't scraped around corners yet either.

I have both. Wife rides a Super Glide Custom and I ride a Wide Glide. I scrape the exhaust and drag a heel every now and then. It just character.

The Super Glide handles a little better a slow speed, but that is only do to the rake on the the forks. Personally, I think the WG would fit you better, but you can make either bike fit you. It really comes down to looks. I love the raked out front end and skinny front tire.

Good luck, post some pics!

The one thing I don't like on the Wide Glide is the skinny front tire. each to their own. For sure you will scrape pegs on both bikes if you get down on the corners, but your heels touch first so you know it is coming. I have never been low enough for the bike to jump though. the pegs do fold so you have to go pretty low for that to happen. Both are great bikes.

I constantly scrape my heel and the exhaust on my wide glide. I still like the bike but hate the lean angle. I'm probably going to buy a second bike in the future that I can ride a little more aggressive on.

I've always preferred the Wide Glide myself. I'm 6'1" and just took mine on a winding ride yesterday. In total 48 tight 15-20mph turns and no scraping. And I'm lowered 1-1/2". If your interested in the WG, test drive them both. But test them out in curves or at least tight turns. And a stretch of highway. I think you'll like the Wide Glide better.

I wonder if that's because you have short shots. I like that they don't run all the way to the back of the bike but hear that the torque loss is pretty bad which has me avoiding them. I have been considering having my stock exhaust cut into a short 2 into 1 to see if that helps with scraping without losing too much torque.
