I felt the performance lack and was a bit disappointed with the sound when I first installed them like you said. But when I changed baffles out for Big City Thunder monster baffles I got that performance back. Maybe more. And they sound awesome! I definitely don't regret either purchase now. IMHO the BCTs are a "must have" with the short shots... And, yes, their profile definitely helps with the clearance concern.

I liked the WG. But after testing both, I went with the SG. The only thing the SG lacks is toward controls. Which it will have soon enough.

I dont like the current version of the wide glide, it's alright but I'm not crazy about it so I woudl persoanlly choose the Super Glide. I read an article that the SG is the best value and most bang for your buck.

If it was between the previous generatiosn of WG vs SG well I am all about that old school WG look, but also like SG.

Why not get an SG and put a WG front end on it.

I lean pretty deep into my turns and still haven't scraped my pegs yet. As for pipes, I have V&H big radius pipes so I figure they wouldn't be prone to scraping. Maybe I'm not leaning as far as I could, I don't know.

You're from Kansas, it is FLAT! Of course you won't scrape anything!!

Just bustin' your chops. I did a spell down there in Salina back around '94.

I have a 2011 SG. I think it really comes down to what you'll do with the bike.

I like long rides. In the 2 yrs I've had it I put 25 000 miles on it. Many 12 - 14 hrs rides. I found the SG was great on those long rides.

I don't like the look of the WG.

I've never ridden a WG, but I have a super glide and I love how it handles.
SG's carve turns like nobody's business!!
