Default Definitives Oil Fliter

I was considering an upgrade to the oil filter and I was wondering if anyonehas installed a Definitives Oil Filter yet? Does it really keep used oil from draining onto the crankcase when changing as advertised? Thanks for any feedback.

I think it would help because to change the filter you remove the end cap which is further out but you still need some sort of a drain tray not to get any oil on the engine. I've never seen one so could be wrong.
