here's a pic of my memphis shades part no mem3310 on my 06 fxdbi (bad pic but should give you an idea)

haksaw,

Is that a fat or slim (too lazy to look it up) I sold my HD detach recently; just could'nt get used to how far it stuck out and the rush of air around the headlight. Going with the Memphis black - just can't decide between the 2 styles. The fact that the Memp. has permanent docking hardware makes no dif to me...
that would be a fats. (22" wide)
i'll post better pics later today

Thats the one for me! The bike looks great - you have'nt even had a chance to ride it, eh? Big thaw here this week; sloppy, muddy mess. Soon as the ice melts off the lane and the gravel is clear, may have to head for some pavement!

Anybody have any experience with the National "Deflector DX"? Looks good and is adjustable for angle.

that's for you boogie. I was going to push it outto some deep snow but i felt sorryfor the bike. Our cold snap is finally over (i hope) We're supposedly getting near thawing temps later in the week.

I won't be riding for a while but I guess that gives me time to make more changes...kinda hard to change things when you haven't even ridden it yet, hard to tell what you'll like and what you won't

RonnR,

I have thought about getting some lowers as well. I have heard that H-D states that they will cause you to overheat on warm days. Is that true or not?

i think he was just referring to the plexi memphis shades winddeflector lowers, not the engine guard covers like desert dawgs that HD warns about.
