Hey guys, I was wondering why there doesn't seem to be any love for Cobra exhaust systems on the forum. Do people have negative opinions or are they just not popular?
I looked at the ones for my bike and the "Speedster Short Swept" looks exactly like the V&H "Big Radius 2-2". And cost just a tad less. No hatred but no love.
But, I didn't like that I had to "register and log on" to listen to them. V&H let's you do it for nothing.
I had a set of Cobra Speedster Slashdowns on my Dyna--were on it when I got it. Sounded great, and seemed to be really good quality. Decided to switch to a 2-1, so I sold them and got a D&D Fatcat.

I had a set of Cobra Swept pipes on my last Jap bike and they were great. I now have V&H Big Radius on my Wide Glide because I like the look of them better on my bike. The Cobra Swept pipes just don't look right on a longer bike (IMO). The Cobras sounded great on my Kawasaki.
I was just thinking about this the other day. I have only seen a tiny handful of Cobra systems on bikes in person. In my area it's mostly Thunderheaders, V&H, and Bassani.
That's simply not true i know lots of guys with Honda shadows who love cobra pipes.
+1. I had Cobra on my '96 Honda Magna and they sounded great.... but totally different animal. Liquid cooled V4. Went with V&H's on the Street bob because of sound and looks- flat black big shots. Perrrrrfect.

I have Cobra mufflers on my FXDB, do the job of keeping people aware of me. Was originally supposed to be Vance & Hines but Harley Service ****ed up, saved $100 getting these, and I believe they are louder. Also, gave me another 10 mph on my cruising speed.
