Default 2001 fxdxt alarm issue bike won't start flashing lights?

Moving bike around garage last night without fob
Turn ignition on flashing lights hit fob button lights stop, click run button, lights flashing again. Bike won't start. Went bought new battery for fob no luck, disconnected battery, still no luck, any ideas? Thanks. Would like to just get rid of it all together if possible

I have moved my bike plenty of times with the fob with me and I have not had any problems like you are having. I replace my batteries in my fob every spring and last year the battery only lasted a few months. I replaced it and all was fine. I must have gotten a bad battery or one that had been sitting around a while. You could try getting another battery from a differnt store and see if that fixes the problem. Also there is a manual way to disable the alarm incase your fob dies or is lost. Procedures are in the owners manual. If you never set up a pass code try 0000 or 1234......

Hmmm. I would check the battery cables to ensure that they are nice and tight along with the ground to the frame first. My first suggestion would be fob battery as well. You do know to click twice to turn the alarm off and once to turn it on, right? Also make sure the run stop switch is set to run.

Try manual method to disable. That will tell you if it is the bike or fob.

Like he said above in the service manual. You use the turn signal buttons to put a 4 digit numerical code in.
