Damn right. Clutch wouldn't have lasted long.

You'll get all sorts of recommendations on primary oil here. Mine is Redline "v-twin primary case oil"

FYI - Dry fill is like a rebuilt or new, never had oil in it engine. Wet is how it would be during a normal oil change.

Don't feel too bad. A) you're wrenching on your own bike B) those plugs can be confusing the first time C) You have experience now, and experience is what you get when things don't go according to plan. And the corollary to that is wisdom comes with experience.

you have different fluids in different places....tranny lube in the transmission..... engine lube in oil tank or pan.... primary lube in the primary case......

True if you have an older bike or like to have separate fluids by choice, but all of the new bikes are meant to have one oil in all three holes. I am not saying it is the best way to go or wanting to start a major discussion, but that is what is "recommended" by MoCo.
