Default Longer kickstand needed

Just put 6" overstock fork tubes on my FXDWG, but does that SOB lean on the kickstand. Does anyone out there know where I can find a longer kickstand or exteder for my 2001 wideglide?

Why don't you just have it lengthened? and fab shop or decent welder should be able to add how ever much you need?

don't use the term "extender" when looking for a longer stand, you'll get a bunch of hits on something that will give you easier reach with your foot to access it, but not a longer stand.

Also - make sure you check how much longer you can actually make it - might interfere with something back there?

More than likely you'll have to go a bit longer, but mostly change the bend so it will sit more upright with the same length stand.

Gook Luck - wish I had a solution for you - but I don't.

Thanks glide05, I was getting nowhere using the term "extender."
I've been looking all over the internet, I can find all kinds of Sh*# for a softail, but nothing longer for a wide glide. Guess I'll keep looking.

glider -

I put a new longer front on my SG this winter. I though I had prepared for everything - but was I surprised when I took it off the jack and onto the stand. Big lean - thought it was going to fall over. It seems OK - but it's on a block in the garage right now. Not sure what I'll do when it's time to ride.

I think the solution is to change the bend. Of course when you do that you'll need the "extender" so you can get to it.

I'll post if I find something - but I don't plan on spending any time with it for a month or 2.

Good Luck -

Try Custom Chrome. The Ironhead I used to have had an 8 over fork and I only needed the middle one of the ones they had.
