they are just a tad bit smaller. will work. Same as buying some 11" progressives which are actually even shorter than the Bob shocks

Just how short are the Bob shocks? I'd guess that the Progressives would be a better shock than the stock HD units and probably less cash too.

Could be wrong, but me thinks Bob stock shocks are 11 1/2". They should bolt right up to a SuperGlide.
Should be able to get some cheap off Ebay.

Ive got a pair of the 11" progressives now but they are little rough on the rear any significant bumps hit really hard and I have them on the softest setting so Im thinking the stock bob shocks might work and can pick up a pair cheaper than the progressives

That part about being on the softest setting is probably why you're hitting so hard. Bottoming out.

I weigh in around two hundred, and the third setting is just about right for me on the standard 11" progressives.

I love the progressives, I have the 11" black ones. 3rd setting, weigh about 210, and havent bottomed out yet. But they are a little stiffer or tighter than the stock so you will fee the bumps a tad more. No biggy I tend not to ride over pot holes. and most of the highway and major roads here are decent. I think I paid 195$ for mine. I still have the chrome stocks if anyone is interested.
