Default Seat and tank lift in place

Here's a couple pictures from my phone after finishing my latest little changes. I'm not sure I want to lower the back with new shocks now, maybe some fender modification. Don't beat me up for not washing her before taking the picture, I have such little wrench experience I was just happy to do this simple job myself.

The seat is a Danny Gray buttcrack solo and the lift was a kit I picked up on Ebay for about $25.Feel free to comment pros and cons, I appreciate feedback from the forum community!

Never seen anyone raise a seat. Is a little dirty but looks great.

That's a 2" tank lift, had to pull the wiring out of the frame to get the work done, was able to get most of it back under the seal when finished. No need to replace fuel line with 2" lift.

Pro: you can pull the front rocker box without removing the tank.
Con: tank lifts are gheyer than aids.

Sorry, you wanted both.

Well, I've only had a few miles in the new saddle, but it feels more comfortable. One thing I notice though, I still feel like I want to sit back further, but I'm leaning much more toward my mids as the reason for that. I believe I'll have to move up my plans to change to forwards. I'm not tall at 5'10" but I'm pushing on the back of the seat quite a bit. I like the tank lift already as it makes the speedo much easier to see at the new angle.

you did a very good job on the tank lift that's my next project. I'm making a lift that will be adjustable for those days I need extra fuel for a couple more miles.
