Found for $3,800 on Craigslist at a VW dealership. Rough shape, 44k miles, dirty and rusty. As I found her:

Painting lower fork legs and dropped in Racetech springs and gold valves:




Mocking up FabKevin brackets and Tokico GSXR-750 superbike brake calipers. Required a 2000 front wheel, axle, bearings, and new rotors.

2000 wheel for the upgrade:

Upgraded to Nightster headlight:



Electrical panel was found broken off- had to mig weld it back together. My first time using a welder.




Joker machine front turn signals:



Rear wheel and pulley bead blasted, new tire, new bearings:



JRI shocks from Howard at motorcycle metal.com vs. progressive 412




Midmounts installed


Biker's Choice brand 7 1/4" smooth fender:


Fender back from paint, badlands integrator, LED tails, side mount plate. Scored a nearly new front fender and gas tank with working gauge from a 2000 FXD off ebay.

great looking bike! i have a 96 also, very similiar to urs. u did a great job on it!

Looks great. You've done a lot with it. Wouldn't mind checking it out sometime. I'm running Ricor 13" shocks and Intiminators. Amazing what some changes to the suspension can do for the handling.

Looks great! How'd you get the NIghtster headlight mounted up?

I know it seems petty, but the new FL law states that a side mounted license plate has to be read either left to right or top to bottom (yours is bottom to top) and that if it's mounted sideways you must have a Sunpass mounted to the bike. The fine? $1100!
