I know it seems petty, but the new FL law states that a side mounted license plate has to be read either left to right or top to bottom (yours is bottom to top) and that if it's mounted sideways you must have a Sunpass mounted to the bike. The fine? $1100!
Nightster headlight bolted right up. No mod required but wire splices. Good info on fl tag rules, but I'm in va, so no worries there.

Oh yeah, thanks for the compliments!

Shake down ride today showed my belt is too tonight, and the right footpegcame loose and was spinning around..... So,far easy fixes!

I was asked in another thread on the build costs. I'll put some rough numbers together. This doesn't count the multiple orders of stuff that I didn't use or sent back trying to find the right combinations of parts.

Can i ask roughly how much you have in the process? I saw you paid $3800 for the bike. Did it come out as efficient as you had hoped? The bike looks fantastic!!
haha. I started out with a spreadsheet to track costs, but decided to just blow the budget. I was going to start with a '11 fat bob that would have been $12k before mods, so I'm way ahead of that.

Bike with registration- $4000
Samson exhaust- $600
Front end (springs, gold valves, wheel, tire, brake conversion, rotors)- $1300
Nightster bars, mirrors, headlight, new tach (mine was messed up) with black mount, black dash (2012 cables free from forum member)- $400
Ebay find- 2000 tin set with tank/fuel gauge- $750 with shipping
Bead blast rear wheel, pulley, new bearings, new tire- $450
Rear fender, paint, LED lights, badlands integrator- $550
Mustang seat- $225
Oil pressure gauge- $115
Tune up- all redline fluids, plugs, wires- $100
JRI shocks- $800
Figure $500 in various other stuff I can't remember

That's about $10,000 total.

Well I've ended up not really liking the "custom" rear fender. It doesn't look quite right and my black bike is lost in a sea of harley's at work. I wrestled her into the basement for some updates.

Soon to come- the original tins, powdercoat the wheels black, Lepera 2 up seat, reinstall passenger pegs. Loose the mids. More to follow....
