Samson Big Gun 3 Street Sweepers
Still thinking awfully damn hard about these pipes, but that is a bunch of money to drop without being certain.
I was wondering if anyone here has a sound bite or video of a twin cam with the Big Gun 3's on it. It would sure be helpful.
Also does anyone have any credible information as to how these pipes perform in comparison to other brands/styles???
Been doing the search thing on these pipes on and off for two days, and just can't really find the information I need.

Well see, I wouldn't mind if they were loud, as long as they are not tinny or crappy sounding. The ones I have now are obnoxiously loud. I mean bad. They sound good, deep rumbles sort of thing but loud. They were fine before, but now with the cubic inch upgrade, cams, and increased compression, they are just unbearable. Something about having that forward pipe right under my right ear is making it impossible to even enjoy the ride.
So, I was looking at the BG3 street sweepers because they are longer and get the sound behind me, and turn it sorta down and out.
Just looking for some feedback before I take the plunge is all.

Yes cannons, I'd say just a little on the loud side.
I had to get a new horn (mini-beast) as the stock horn was a joke with these pipes.
There are quite a few with the street sweepers. I prefer to be different.
I have cruised passed cops and not gotten a second look but I don't dare crack the throttle

I have the sweepers myself and they are great. they look cool and sound even better. Though the sound may be surprisingly different than you might expect. I can only describe it as HORSEPOWER. It just sounds like it want's to go somewhere at idle and when your at the right rpm cruising and roll it on it barks .....loud. I have only heard the pipes once while not on the bike. I let a service guy spin it for a primary issue that turned out to be chain slap from the tensioner. It sounded great as he rode away and by me. I'll tell yah where it really sounds nice is rolling through a tunnel or underpass. then again stock mufflers sound ok in there too. All in all you just have to commit to a set and offload them if you don't like them. none of the samsons are tin like. all the ones of the same length sound the same. so if your confused between two samsons then go on the looks and that'll be that. you'll love the sound either way.

If you are going for looks they look great. But they will rob some horspower. With the street sweepers i was putting 79 hp and 92 ft/lbs now with the vance and hines its at around 93 hp and the same tourque.
