Default Fat front tire Street Bob or Fat Bob

Hey guys, so if you follow any of my threads I'm currently in the deciding factor to trade my 48 in or not for a Street bob. My desire is more space for 2 up, and distance trips. That being said, I'm not sold yet. My goal for my Street bob would be to swap to a fatter front tire bc I love the look and function of my 48. I know the Bob will never handle the same but I can at least make it as close as possible both performance and aesthetically.

So my questions after reading many threads and forums, is fundamentally what would be the difference between a Street Bob with 103 and fat front tire swap and a Fat bob? Bc I've test ridden a FB a couple times and don't like it at all.

The other thing is I was considering as a part of the SB front wheel swap, was to try going with a Poughco springer front end and a fat front tire...so I'm trying to get a platform that will require the least amount of extra $$ dump. As of right now I'm not interested in a Fat bob at all, but if I swap the front tire to a wider one and get the HD customization with the 103, isn't that basically already a FB?

Thanks for you input guys...have at it.

Why did you hate the fatbob? I rode a fat and street bob back to back and they rode almost identical on my 5 mile test ride. Sounds like you need to test ride a street bob before trading the 48 in.

I too am curious why you hate the Fat Bob. I put a Fat Bob front end on mine and the rear Fat Bob shocks and it is a pleasure to ride.

The Fat Bob with mid controls handles like a Sportster on steroids!
But if you want a Dyna for 2 up travel you should consider the Switch Back.

The easiest way would probably be to lace up a 16" wheel to the Street Bob hub. I'm with you, I love the Fat front tire but hate the Fat Bob look. Another way to go for be would be to get the Fat Bob and use a Wide Glide rear fender and switch over the dual headlights but that would be more costly but at least Moore appealing in my eyes.

Easy solution if you hate the twin headlights: get a single headlight kit from the MoCo. For two up riding NOTHING will out brake a dual front disc setup. I LOVE my FatBob and wouldnt want any other Dyna. in fact the only other HD Id consider buying/making payments on would be a Road Glide Custom.... but there are conversion kits that I can make my Fat bob INTO a Road glide.

I traded off my Fat Boy with a QUICKNESS because I hated how the single disc brakes faded on longer stops. remember its not just you and your bike you gotta stop safely.

Fat Bob with a single headlight swap ALLLLL day long if you want it to be a Dyna. Switchback is cool, but if you want that bike just get a Road King and be done with it. They are not too far apart in price for similar looks but WAY better bike for the money.

I know there has been some other guys on here that have put a wider tire on front not to the extreme as Markeejay, maybe they will chime in.
