Why do you say this? Bc on my test rides (I did two with the Fat Bob) I felt it was about as nimble as a tank in comparison to the 48. The Street Bob at least felt more maneuverable and still comfortable. Admittedly the Fb I rode had forwards, and I think I could use reduced reach forwards on the Dyna frame (I can ride them as is, but i like the sportster forward location much better, long torso, short legs, lol)

I test rode the slim and will do so again on my next trip to dealer, but I didn't like the balanced engine and floor boards. The latter isn't a big deal, but I like to feel like I'm riding a motorcycle not a prius. Nothing wrong with them and I'll give it another shot for sure, but nothing leans me toward it, just like I don't like the thick forks of the Fat Bob. I'm not an apes guy, but the lighter SB is so far much more appealing.

I'll +1 that.

I understand that. I guess it's why MOCO currently has 31 models in its line of bikes and 900 page catalog of accessories. There is a Harley for anyone who really wants one, their way.... Good luck with your decision...

I do wish my super glide custom didn't do the sometimes scary head shake it does at 80-90 mph, but I'm not changing bikes and the fat tire conversion looks quite expensive. Guess I will keep the speed down a bit and enjoy the skinny 19"...tp

You're using just the trees though, not the FB forks? Because one of the draw backs to me for the FB is those thick forks. I like a leaner look.

It is a graft from a Softail Fat Boy ... ditched the stock 39mm narrow glide and installed the 41mm front end with the tins (powdercoated black) and the passing lamp assembly ...

... here is a thread I did on it ... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...afternoon.html

Default 16" front tire on a streetbob

I just finished changing my front tire on my 2010 Streetbob. I used a stock dyna hub, a used 16" rim off a heritage and stainless steel spokes. I had to powder coat the rim black and bought a West Coast Steeler front fender. Had the fender painted black to match. Used hub $60, used rim $25, stainless spokes $150, powder coat rim $40, labor to lace it $125, New 16" tire $158, West Coast fender $100, paint fender $100............Done $750
